I am a 24-year-old new wife. However, I am not new to the military or its lifestyle. I have been with my husband since before he chose to heed his country's call and enlist. I am an amateur photographer of sorts. Eloped on Christmas Eve Eve, 2010 to become the legal pain-in-the-ass and nag to my lover and best friend of many years. He is my Prince Charming.
My husband and I have recently become adoptive parents to our wonderpup, who I refer to as "LittleP" on Twitter. That's not his name, but it is his nickname. He is a 3ish-year-old Jack Russel Terrier with SO much spunk, life, personality and love for his new mommy and daddy. He is the perfect little fur-kid a girl could ever ask for.
I've suffered through one deployment thus far and I'm currently bearing through a second. I relocated back home in early December to make up for lost time with my family, who I missed oh-so very much. I plan on making frequent trips back to my second home, or my husband's current duty station, to visit all my beautiful, fellow military wives. They've become one of the greatest support systems & some of my closest friends. I've tried to maintain a somewhat active part in our FRG, but due to a busy, hectic schedule, I have not been able to give as much of myself as I would like. Hopefully after this deployment, I can return to my FRG role and give everything I want and more.
